Yet underneath his hedonistic pursuits, persistent pangs of conscience and the threat of eternal damnation plague his mind.

As the twenty-four years draw to a close, Faustus experiences intense terror and remorse, desperately wishing to repent but finding himself paralyzed by despair and the physical constraints of demonic coercion. He brings forth Helen of Greece to serve as his paramour, hoping her beauty will permanently silence his remaining thoughts of grace. However, his soul's final hour arrives inexorably.

When the clock strikes midnight, the devils descend upon his study to claim their prize. Faustus begs in vain for mercy, offering to burn his books and transform into animals or water drops to escape his fate. The tragedy concludes the following morning when horrified scholars discover his mangled remains, leaving behind a stark warning about the perilous limits of human ambition.
