Privacy Policy
This policy explains data processing when you use 3ords.com, an account, or the audiobook-ordering service.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller is the administrator of 3ords.com (“3ords”, “we”). Contact LibertyStartups@proton.me about privacy or to exercise your rights.
A partner or external service may independently determine how it processes data sent to it. Its own terms then apply in addition to this policy.
2. Data we process
- Account data: email address, password hash, display name, account creation and login dates. We do not store plaintext passwords.
- Telegram sign-in data: Telegram identifier, display name, and username when supplied by Telegram.
- Session and security data: session cookie, server-side token hash, expiry, user agent, IP address, and login-attempt information.
- Order data: selected book or submitted URL, uploaded file and extracted text and metadata, language, voice, size, processing status, generated audio, and minute usage.
- Payment data: amount, currency, purpose, status, and provider identifiers. We do not receive or store a complete payment-card number.
- Support communications and information you voluntarily include in them.
- Technical data: IP address, request time, URL, referrer, browser, operating system, device, language, screen size, page interactions, and server diagnostics.
3. Why we use data
Depending on the context, processing is based on performance of a contract or pre-contract steps, compliance with law, legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, or consent for optional processing where applicable law requires it.
- To create accounts, authenticate users, and protect the account area from abuse.
- To accept, quote, perform, and deliver audiobook orders.
- To process payments, account for subscriptions and minute packs, retain transaction history, and meet accounting obligations.
- To answer requests, diagnose errors, and keep the service secure and available.
- To measure traffic and improve the interface and site content.
- To protect the lawful rights of users, 3ords, and rights holders.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
You can restrict or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking functional cookies may disrupt language selection or account access. Yandex also provides an official browser add-on for opting out of Metrica.
- 3ords-lang is a functional cookie that remembers an explicit language choice for one year.
- abook_session is a secure HttpOnly authentication cookie; the standard session lifetime is up to 30 days.
- Yandex Metrica uses cookies and localStorage for traffic, referral, and page-behavior analytics. Link tracking, click maps, and Session Replay are enabled.
- The embedded YouTube player uses youtube-nocookie.com, but loading it still connects the browser to Google/YouTube services.
5. Who receives data
Providers may process data in other countries. Where relevant, we use available contractual and technical safeguards under applicable law.
- Hosting, infrastructure, storage, and file-delivery providers, only as needed to run the service.
- Yandex, through Yandex Metrica, for technical and behavioral analytics.
- Telegram when you choose Telegram sign-in.
- The payment provider named at checkout, such as YooKassa or SHKeeper, to create and confirm a payment.
- Public authorities or other parties where disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect lawful rights.
6. Retention and security
We keep data for as long as needed for the purposes above: while an account or order is active, while result access is required, to resolve disputes, maintain security, and comply with recordkeeping duties. Data is then deleted, anonymized, or isolated for periods required by law and backup cycles.
Safeguards include access controls, password and token hashing, secure cookies, HTTPS, and time-limited file links. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability; object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a supervisory authority. Send requests to LibertyStartups@proton.me. We may verify your identity to protect the account.
8. Policy changes
We may update this policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The new version and revision date will appear here. Material changes affecting registered users may also be shown in the account area.
