Длина строк в конце каждой главы и в некоторых выделенных цитатах декоративно уменьшалась строка за строкой и не завершалась точкой. Из-за изменчивой природы электронных текстов авторский замысел, к сожалению, невозможно воспроизвести в первоначальном виде.

Подписи к иллюстрациям на пронумерованных страницах были набраны курсивом, тогда как на ненумерованных — нет. Курсив удален для приведения подписей к иллюстрациям к единообразному виду.

В некоторых подписях размеры были указаны в круглых скобках, в других — в квадратных. Все они приведены к круглым скобкам для единообразия.

Страница 44: Исправлено слово «Typsetting» на «Typesetting».

Страница 170: Добавлен смысловой отбив в связи с переходом темы от Добсона к Твену.
